If it ain’t outlaw, It ain’t country

Red Dirt Renegade or as our fans refer to us “RDR” is a hard hitting all Iowan Outlaw Country band that performs originals as well as music by Cody Jinks, Waylon Jennings, Jamey Johnson, Sturgill Simpson, Tyler Childers, Johnny Cash etc.  Comprised of  some of  the finest musicians in our great state we feature a true Southern Iowa born and raised lead vocalist Chad Stutzman, the Tycoon of  Twang on lead guitar Jason Boggs, and Iowa’s best rhythm section with Jeffrey "El Jefe" Stevens on drums and Nick Borror on bass.  We are a professional band with a combined 120 years of  stage experience, high end equipment and a pure passion for live performance. RDR considers all venues we play as a partnership and we always do our part to ensure success plain and simple.  RDR will be in the studio in early 2025 recording our new full length album.    Front man Chad Stutzman describes the new material as such....."When I write new music I never think of a theme or any commonality between the songs.  Each song is its own story from start to end.  The new material is eclectic in nature drawing from red dirt inspired nods mixed with what Stutzman calls black dirt country having been born and raised in Iowa.   The new songs draw inspiration from both real life and random thoughts and scribbles often times in the middle of the night following his strict rule to never let the truth get in the way of a good story.
